April 2, 2020

The safety of our participants, parents, employees and volunteers is First Tee of Greater Akron’s top priority.  We continue to monitor the rapidly changing developments regarding the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), including recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control, World Health Organization and local/state health administrators.

All First Tee of Greater Akron programming has been suspended since Monday, March 16.  At this time, we are making the following updates regarding upcoming programming and events:

-Spring Break Camp, originally scheduled for April 15-17, is cancelled.

-The 2020 Executive Dinner & Silent Auction, originally scheduled for April 27, is postponed until further notice.

-Spring Session at Raintree Golf & Event Center, originally scheduled to begin April 20, is cancelled.

-Spring Session at Mud Run Golf Course & Driving Range, originally scheduled to begin April 28, is cancelled.

First Tee of Greater Akron will be reaching out to participants in these cancelled sessions regarding refunds and credits.

During these challenging times, I am reminded daily of the First Tee’s Nine Core Values, especially, PERSEVERANCE and CONFIDENCE.  We are all persevering and we will get through this.  I am confident that we will return to our programming and continue to positively impact children’s lives in Greater Akron.

Feel free to contact with me any questions.  Please let us know if there is anything First Tee of Greater Akron can do for you.  Thank you for your continued support and understanding in these unprecedented times.

We are in this together.  Stay safe and healthy.
